Caravaggio: Oil Painting Workshop

Get your brushes ready! Join us as we take a two week dive into the 16th century with Caravaggio as our guide!

In this workshop we will recreate together a Caravaggio masterpiece from start to finish.

We will guide you each step of the way, explaining both indirect painting techniques as well as how to use the famous limited color palette.

The limited palette was popularized by many renowned painters, including Caravaggio, Velasquez, Goya and Zorn. This color system is also the primary painting palette of the Academies of Europe.
We will also include a brief lecture about the artist and the world in which he lived to start us on our journey.
